If you are using email for work and having Outlook client, you are most likely using an Exchange or IMAP account. Usually Exchange and IMAP servers automatically archive your email so that you can access emails from anywhere and anytime.

But sometimes we need a backup copy of the outlook emails which is known as pst file or .olm file in Mac that you can restore later as needed.

Steps to Export backup File

Follow the below steps to take a pst or olm file backup from your Outlook client to local MacBook.

  • Open outlook application
  • Click on File

  • Now you have multiple options and choose what you want to take backup.
  • Click Continue
